The story is about one teenage girl Vasylyna. She unexpectedly found out that her father is the prominent magician of Eflara. Eflara is the world which was created by special time magic.

"Star for you", a novel by Ukrainian writer Darya Korniy pulished in 2013. What is the most important thing in life? Love? Progress? Career achievements? "Star" status? Everyone has their own vision, answer, life choice. All these questions concern the artist the most. Many current issues are raised in the novel by Darya Korniy, but the most important message of the author remains the believe in the power of love! "Star for you" structurally consists of two parts. The two stories, of course, complement each other: those semantic cavities that are present in the first part are filled after reading the second. But at the same time, certain plot moves of the first part are leveled after reading the second, and the biggest "surprise" for the reader is the question of "life - death" of the main characters. This book has everything that should be in a classic novel. A whole gallery of images: Serhiy and Zoryana are disadvantaged heroes who saved humanity in inhuman trials. I will not retell the plot, because "Star for you" is better to read yourself. Good women's prose. I recommend.

1 When a prizewinning South Korean novelist stole from a prizewinning Japanese novelist
In 2015, the Man Asian prize-winning novelist Shin Kyung-sook was accused of plagiarizing Yukio Mishima’s short story “Patriotism” in her own story “Legend.” Novelist Lee Eung-jun, comparing the stories, wrote: “This is a clear case of plagiarism, a dishonest act of a literary work which cannot be acceptable to any professional literature writer.” Shin initially denied the accusations, claiming not to have read the story in question, but ultimately (sort of) admitted to them, and in any case apologized: “I sincerely apologize to the literary writer who raised the issue, as well as all my acquaintances, and above all, many readers who read my novels. . . Everything is my fault.” The story collection in which “Legend” appeared was pulled from the shelves.
2 Stephen E. Ambrose Another case of literary plagiarism would be the one of historian Stephen E. Ambrose. This is a man who had written biographies for two former Presidents of the United States, President Dwight D. Eisenhower and Richard Nixon. Ambrose used other authors’ writing in his own books, without giving appropriate credit. He was then also criticised for plagiarism in his book; ‘Wings of Morning’. This book copied word-for-word sections of a book called ‘The Wild Blue’ written by Thomas Childers. His response to the accusations was that he would put quotations marks around these passages in later editions of his book. Ambrose was never punished for these allegations as he died shortly after.
3 Jacob Estein Academic plagiarism is more clear-cut. It can be determined by long-standing and well-defined academic conventions in respect of referencing, the boundaries of plagiarism in literature are more difficult to determine.
Jacob Estein plagiarised passages from celebrated British author Martin Amis. The case concerned Estein’s first novel ‘Wild Oats’, which contained passages from Amis’s earlier work ‘The Rachel Papers’. Epstein later admitted to the act of plagiarism, having copied various passages from Amis, along with other writers too. He claimed that the plagiarism was accidental. He also argued that it had been the result of unorganised note taking and lost citations.
As such, whether this is true or not, it does seem to be a viable get-out clause for any writer who is accused of plagiarism.

John Milton: In His Own Words
Was the half-blind creator of Paradise Lost a plagiarist? Well, no. But William Lauder, an 18th-century scholar, sure wanted you to think so. Bitter about his professional failures, Lauder published several essays in 1747 claiming to "prove" that Milton had stolen almost all of Paradise Lost from various 17th-century poets.
One problem, though. Lauder had forged the poems, interpolating text from Paradise Lost into the original documents. For a while, many (including the great Samuel Johnson) supported Lauder, but it soon became clear by studying extant copies of the old poems that Lauder, not Milton, was the cheat. And cheating, at least in this case, didn't pay: Exiled to the West Indies, Lauder died an impoverished shopkeeper.
Helen Keller
Most are familiar with Helen Keller’s inspiration life story that was turned into a book and movie.
As a toddler born in the 1800s, Keller developed an illness that eventually made her deaf and blind. Educated by Anne Sullivan, she would go on to become the first-ever blind-deaf individual to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Keller would go onto enjoy a career as a political activist, author, and public speaker.
Keller was well-known by the time she wrote a story at the age of 11. Titled The Frost King, it was published by the Goodson Gazette, a deaf-blind education journal. Sadly, after the story was published, some saw a striking resemblance around another story that was published by Margaret Canby, Frost Fairies.
Interestingly enough, a copy of the Frost Fairies was in a house that Sullivan and Keller stayed at during a vacation. Moreover, Sullivan read it to Keller. Keller stated she forgot about being read Frosty Fairies, although she had retained much of the story.
While Keller was a celebrity at the time of the plagiarism accusation, she was just a child. Thankfully, the controversy did not affect her career too much as she grew into an adult and moved onto great success.
JK Rowling 'plagiarism' case fails
A legal claim that JK Rowling lifted the plot of one of her Harry Potter books from the work of another writer is to go no further. The estate of late author Adrian Jacobs had claimed Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire plagiarised parts of his book, The Adventures of Willy the Wizard.
The Court of Appeal had ordered the estate to pay the first stage of £1.5m as security for costs. Because no payment was made to the court, the claim has now failed. It marks the end of a seven-year attempt by Paul Allen, the trustee of the estate of Adrian Jacobs, to win the case against Rowling and her publisher Bloomsbury.
"The whole thing is a scandal," said David Hooper, a solicitor for Bloomsbury. "It was an absolutely ludicrous case." Rowling had described the claim as "not only unfounded but absurd", saying she had not seen the book until the claim was launched in 2004.

1 When Dan Brown got sued, and then got sued again, and then. . .
Three separate parties have accused Dan Brown of plagiarizing their work to create his mega-bestselling novel The Da Vinci Code. First, there was Lewis Perdue, who argued Brown had stolen from his novels The Da Vinci Legacy and Daughter of God. The judge wasn’t having it—”Any slightly similar elements are on the level of generalised or otherwise unprotectable ideas,” he wrote in his ruling. Next were Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh, two historians who claimed that Brown had “appropriated the architecture” of their 1982 book The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail. The judge dismissed the case. “Even if the central themes were copied, they are too general or of too low a level of abstraction to be capable of protection by copyright law,” he said. Baigent and Leigh appealed; but their appeal also failed. Now there’s Jack Dunn, who has actually been trying to sue Dan Brown for allegedly stealing “hundreds” of elements from his book The Vatican Boys, for a decade or more. After losing his plagiarism case in 2007, he has recently begun preparations to open a new one. This one is in the middle, because I suppose we’ll just have to see . . .
2 When Bob Dylan plagiarized SparkNotes for his Nobel Prize Lecture
In case you needed any more proof that Dylan didn’t deserve a Nobel Prize in Literature: he couldn’t even write his own Nobel lecture—he had to plagiarize it from the SparkNotes summary for Moby-Dick. Obviously, he didn’t have much to say on the subject. Or, as Joni Mitchell put it: “Bob is not authentic at all. He’s a plagiarist, and his name and voice are fake. Everything about Bob is a deception.” You live, you learn, I guess?
3 When a Harvard student plagiarized chick-lit:
In 2006, a Harvard undergrad named Kaavya Viswanathan published her first novel, How Opal Mehta Got Kissed, Got Wild, and Got a Life. Soon thereafter, her university’s own newspaper reported that the book featured “several passages that are strikingly similar to two books by Megan F. McCafferty—the 2001 novel Sloppy Firsts and the 2003 novel Second Helpings.” Like Epstein, Viswanathan said the similarities were unintentional, but the extent of the overlap seemed to belie that argument—and later, further similarities were found with Sophie Kinsella’s Can You Keep a Secret?. Those weren’t the last—accusers also noted parallel passages or sentences in works by Salman Rushdie and Meg Cabot. How Opal Mehta Got Kissed, Got Wild, and Got a Life was pulled from bookstores, and Viswanathan’s deal for a second novel was canceled.
It was this incident that sparked that mini-fight between Jennifer Egan and Jennifer Weiner, by the way: in 2011, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Egan said:
My focus is less on the need for women to trumpet their own achievements than to shoot high and achieve a lot. What I want to see is young, ambitious writers. And there are tons of them. Look at The Tiger’s Wife. There was that scandal with the Harvard student who was found to have plagiarized. But she had plagiarized very derivative, banal stuff. This is your big first move? These are your models? I’m not saying you should say you’ve never done anything good, but I don’t go around saying I’ve written the book of the century. My advice for young female writers would be to shoot high and not cower.
Weiner, of course, took exception to this characterization of McCafferty and Kinsella.

1)The Da Vinci Code was plagiarized? The Da Vinci Code, written by Dan Brown, was both highly successful and highly controversial, not only due to its subject matter but also the plagiarism allegations that surrounded the book. Brown had a case brought against him on two separate occasions due to accusations that he had plagiarised other people’s work in the book.
The first case brought against him was by Michael Baigent and Richard Lee, who claimed that Brown plagiarized their book The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail. This claim stated that Dan Brown had copied certain themes from their book. However, they eventually lost the case when a court decided no plagiarism had taken place.
The second accusation came from Lewis Perdue, who claimed Brown had stolen from his novel Daughter of God, published in 2000. Although the Supreme Court declined to hear his case, in which he was seeking $150 million, he has not retracted the accusations.
2)John Milton: In His Own Words
3)Stendhal: The Politician's Plagiarist
When asked by Oprah Winfrey about his favorite book during the 2000 presidential campaign, Al Gore cited Stendhal's The Red and the Black, a novel set in post-Napoleonic France. The book's protagonist, Julien Sorel, is an ambitious young womanizer who adopts the hypocrisy of his time in order to move up in the world. In his own time, Stendhal, whose real name was Henri Beyle, was most famous not for his novels, but for his books about art and travel. In one, The Lives of Haydn, Mozart and Metastasio, Stendhal plagiarized extensively from two previous biographies. Confronted with overwhelming evidence of theft, Stendhal added forgery to the list of his literary crimes, manufacturing correspondence in the hopes of exonerating himself.

The current literary epoch, at least in its young adult context, can be divided into the epoch before G.P. and after GP Indeed, since the first book about the scarred boy appeared in 1997, the world will never be what it once was. Rowling quickly became one of the most famous European writers, and the image of the boy wizard - probably the most recognizable in modern literature. This is followed by anime and illegal (ie without purchased rights) diaries with a picture of Harry, which could be purchased at every school bazaar under the signs "Finally to school" and "Goodbye summer".
Among this huge mess, two cases stand out: the illegal publication of a novel about the goblin (!) Harry Potter in China and a series about Tanya Grotter by Russian writer Dmitry Yemts.
another situation with hints of plagiarism happened to the British novelist Ian McEwan. The British author based his novel "Atonement" on the memoirs of Lucilla Andrews. The latter worked as a nurse during the Second World War and left memories of this period "Not a time for romance" (1977). And although the author did not hide the ends in the water and even mentioned Andrews in the book, some readers and critics were outraged by the amount of borrowed material. Later, in an interview with the Times, McEwen stated that he deliberately used Andrews' memoirs as the basis for the novel, but accentuated the text in a completely different way.
Тhis applies to Bob Dylan, whose speech I believe, namely 20 sentences are considered borrowed from SparkNotes school cheat sheets about Herman Melville's novel "Moby Dick". Dylan did not comment on his speech, so it was a deliberate provocation, Dylan's laziness or another reason from an anonymous guest writer, we probably never know.

3 cases of plagiarism in literature 1. The controversial french author Michel Houellebecq is one of the most well-known french speaking author. In 2010 he won the Goncourt Prize (french literature Oscar Prize) with his book the Map and the territory. After publishing the book, the author was accused of plagiarism: he copied pages of description from Wikipedia and other websites. For example, he copied the description of a police officer from the interior ministry website. However, he still maintained his prize and only went away with a media apology.- Суперечливий французький автор Мішель Уеллебек - один із найвідоміших французькомовних авторів. 2. Another case of literary plagiarism would be the one of historian Stephen E. 3.

The Pulitzer Prize
The Pulitzer Prize is an award for achievements in newspaper, magazine and online journalism, literature and musical composition within the United States. It was established in 1917 by provisions in the will of Joseph Pulitzer, who had made his fortune as a newspaper publisher and is administered by Columbia University.
Prizes are awarded yearly in twenty-one categories. Nominees have always been announced in April of each year with the prizes being awarded a month later in May. In twenty of the categories, each winner receives a certificate and a US$15,000 cash award (raised from $10,000 in 2017). The winner in the public service category is awarded a gold medal.
What is the history of the prize?
Newspaper publisher Joseph Pulitzer gave money in his will to Columbia University to launch a journalism school and establish the Prize. It allocated $250,000 to the prize and scholarships. He specified "four awards in journalism, four in letters and drama, one in education, and four traveling scholarships."
After his death on October 29, 911, the first Pulitzer Prizes were awarded June 4, 1917 (they are now announced in April). The Chicago Tribune under the control of Colonel Robert R. McCormick felt that the Pulitzer Prize was nothing more than a 'mutual admiration society' and not to be taken seriously. The paper refused to compete for the prize during McCormick's tenure up until 1961

Pulitzer Prize (Summary)
From video we found out what is the Pulitzer Prize and in whose honor such a name . Established in 1917, the Pulitzer is a series of prizes that are awarded each year. Some of the categories are American online journalism, literature, newspaper, drama, poetry, photography and musical composition by Columbia University. The Pulitzer Prize is named after the Jewish, Hungarian-born, American newspaper publisher Joseph Pulitzer. In 1904, seven years before his death, Pulitzer drew up a will that made provisions for the establishment and endowment of the Pulitzer Prize. A whopping $2,000,000 was given to Columbia University in New York to establish a school of journalism and for awarded prizes.
History of the Pulitzer Prize
In writing his 1904 will, which made provision for the establishment of the Pulitzer Prizes as an incentive to excellence, Pulitzer specified solely four awards in journalism, four in letters and drama, one for education, and five traveling scholarships. Initially, three of the scholarships were awarded on the recommendation of the Faculty of Journalism at Columbia to graduating students; two of the scholarships—in art and music, respectively—were administered externally by a jury comprised of faculty from the Columbia Department of Music and the Institute of Musical Art (music) and the National Academy of Design (art). Like the other awards, the latter two scholarships were open to all music and art students in America. (Currently, five scholarships of $7,500 are awarded to graduating students from the School of Journalism.) The Pulitzer Prize—set to be awarded today—was established over 100 years ago to honor exceptional achievements in journalism. Since its inception, the award has grown to include 21 different categories, ranging from literature to musical composition. What do Pulitzer Prize winners get when they win? There are 21 Pulitzer categories. In 20 of those categories the winners receive a $15,000 cash award and a certificate. Only the winner in the Public Service category of the Journalism competition is awarded a gold medal. The iconic Pulitzer Prize Gold Medal is awarded each year to the American news organization that wins the Public Service category. It is never awarded to an individual. However, through the years, the Medal has come to symbolize the entire Pulitzer program. The medal, about two and three-quarter inches in diameter and a quarter-inch thick, is not solid gold. It is silver with 24-carat gold plate and presented to the winning newspaper in an elegant cherry-wood box with brass hardware. Over the years the Pulitzer board has at times been targeted by critics for awards made or not made. Controversies also have arisen over decisions made by the board counter to the advice of juries.
